Parent coaching
A parent is their child’s first teacher and should remain their best teacher throughout life. The proper role of the parent is to provide encouragement, support, and access to fun activities that enable children to continue growing and developing.
Effective parenting is the ability to interact and engage with our children in such a way that they learn and grow into healthy adults. It takes daily and constant effort to connect with children on a meaningful and personal level and in Inspiring Hope, we train parents on how to parent effectively by guiding and educating them on areas of communication, attentive listening, actions and consequences concepts and effective ways to show affection. A parent coach helps parents successfully apply skills learned in therapy within their family, to improve the qualitive of their relationship and familiar environment.
Join Custody Disagreements
It is not my intention to become involved in cases that require my testifying in court.
Joint legal custody means that both parents have the legal authority to make major decisions for the child. These include decisions regarding education, religion, and health care. Parents should be aware, too, that legal custody is separate from physical custody. In legal custody, parents who have legal custody are able to make legal decisions on matters impacting the child. In physical custody, children live with parents who have physical custody. When both parents can cooperate enough to join custody, children are able to grow up with the influence of both parents. Additionally, it helps both parents have less stress and responsibility.
Both of divorced/separated parents should have rules for their children and insist on them being followed. With continuity in household rules, children have less opportunity to pit one parent against the other parent.
